Very impressive and inspiring list :-)
HI, Nice list…
I’m just wondering, why have you entered different kinds of businesses? Won’t that make your resources thin? Is that like a jack of all trade businessman?
For example in your water station. You can expand your water station to sell equipments or you can even franchise it. You can maximize your resources, grow it and wait till it saturates then move in another business which is related to the first. I tried doing what you have done but I guess my resources are limited. I’m just wondering because I know my limit. But I guess you can handle it.
Can you give me advice on how you handle all your business? How many employees are in your payroll? Thats the aspect that I’m not really good at, manpower…
more power to you…
1. why have you entered different kinds of businesses?
i am in business primarily to learn and not to earn.
2. won’t that make your resources thin?
ofcourse it thins out the resources, walang economies of scale. and i will again spend time learning new things (by spending resources) compared to the easier pill of just expanding on what you already know (which is non-exciting in my consideration). kaya it takes a long time for people to copy on what we do and will make me confident to share and ask opinions on forums because we have fast development times.
3. Is that like a jack of all trade businessman?
yup! a jack ass!hehhehee but seriously, i want to mix the learnings of all this businesses so that i could develop an ultra-mix business that people will have a hard time to copy with all the learnings from these “training businesses”. once i need to earn. as of this day, i dont!
4. Can you give me advice on how you handle all your business?
my greatest influence is mr. lerona. a grade 3 folk! but has many businesses. what he advised me was to “let people be who they are” and “let their colors shine”. dont be too controlling and allow for decentralization. you might lose on control but if they flunk (by getting money from you) you saw their color! and its more valuable than money!
5. How many employees are in your payroll?
hmmm. i have 20-25 FTEs (full time equivalents) and 25+ distributors, part-timers and indirects. but i consider only talking to 5 people. my core people hires, fires and do all the direct control things. we talk on the general scale, about dreams and timelines. they do the specific plans to achieve it.
nice, so your biggest asset is your ability to delegate…astig…I hope that I can learn more from you. I have my own perceptions on running a business but I want to learn what others are doing. Its a learning stage for me…hope to read more about your business ventures…
nope its creativity and thinking like a child!
